Wind Pressure

It is a common practice to specify the capacity of mounting structures in terms of wind speed. A more accurate parameter is wind pressure as solar module manufacturers specify the limit of pressure on front (+) and back (-) of the panel, +3.6 and -2.53 kN/sq meter being the most common values. Accordingly our mounting structures are designed for these limiting pressures.

Wind pressure depends on factors such as wind speed, risk category, height above ground, terrain and topography of the location. Users are encouraged to assess wind pressure at the solar plant installation.
