New developments in agriculture such as Agrivoltaics, Agricultural Gantry and Robots, though laudable, are not without their shortcomings. Agrivoltaics reduce crop yield by casting shadow. Agricultural Gantries do reduce traffic induced soil degradation but are unwieldy. Agricultural Robots cannot perform more than one type of task which reduces their ROI.
Agrivoltaic Gantry Robot integrates these technologies in an innovative way. In the isometric view above, arrays of mounting frames are braced in transverse and longitudinal directions. Wheels fixed to outermost frames move on rails, thus crops are shaded only intermittently. Arrays of frames engage and withstand forces from agricultural implements. Multiple precision farming gadgets are fixed to the arrays. This leads to zero loss of crop yield, zero traffic induced soil degradation and optimal use of farming gadgets.
